Interesting in helping out BaconSandwich's nephews?

I don’t normally do this kind of thing, but eh, what the heck. My two nephews (ages 9 and 12) are trying to rack up as many views as possible on their first YouTube video. To quote my brother:

They really like watching B eyblade videos (B eyblades are fighting tops complete with cartoons on TV). So, they decided to make a video themselves. I showed Andrew how to use the free version of Da Vinci Resolve 16 so he did the editing and selected the music from an online subscription service and put it together with minimal assistance (he kept telling me to go away). He also typed up the description and posted it.

I’d say for their first attempt, they did a pretty good job. Definitely better than the hacky attempts at making VHS videos I did in my youth. If anyone has feedback, I’d be happy to pass it on.

Damn. They speak better than I do. Even the little guy. Video production is better than I could do too.

Beyblade sounds familiar. Isn’t it an anime? Didn’t know it was a toy. Although animes based on toys are common.

I think the show has anime style art. It could be anime. I can’t say I’ve actually watched it - I’ve only ever seen the toys.

Thanks for giving it a view. I wished they lived closer so I could lend them some of my gear (audio recorder, light reflectors, etc.). It also makes me want to get off my butt and shoot some woodworking videos.

oh - constructive criticism. Only thing I can think of is to shorten it. Tighter the better for short attention span modern people. Pretty damn good though.

I got some of those for my nephews a couple years ago. I didn’t know if they were still a thing.

Good way to cut their teeth on video making. Tell them they did well.
